Project Overview
Lee and Kate approached us with a desire to transform their family home on Birchwood Avenue. They had been working with an architectural designer but faced challenges with proposals exceeding their budget, lacking a phased approach, and feeling they needed a more thoughtfully designed solution. We were thrilled to step in and help bring their vision to life.
Our approach focused on truly understanding their needs, both now and for the future. Through careful collaboration, we developed a phased design solution that combines a single-storey rear extension with a two-storey side extension. The result is a home that not only meets their current requirements but also sets the stage for future flexibility.
The rear extension creates a spacious, light-filled family living area, perfect for entertaining or relaxing together, while the side extension provides additional space to accommodate their growing needs. With a focus on functionality and a modern aesthetic, we’ve ensured the design feels cohesive and practical while adding significant value to their home.
Timescales
We were appointed in June 2023, achieved planning approval in November 2023, and the project is scheduled to start on site in early 2025.
