BCAE Architects are based in Preston, Lancashire in the North-West of England, working on projects throughout the UK. As an architects studio we take pride in offering a full range of architectural services across both residential and commercial work sectors.
We specialise in bespoke residential architecture at varying scales and project costs, working with new and existing buildings throughout the North-West and UK. We also welcome projects for innovative commercial developments.
Every project is unique, we craft and consider designs across various scales.
Arron El-Ammar
BSc(Hons). MArch. PGDip. ARB. RIBA.
Arron is a chartered architect and director of BCAE Architects. He is a member of the ARB (Architecture Registration Board) and a member of the RIBA (Royal Institute of British Architects). Arron has focused on creating functional and visually appealing buildings and spaces, finding innovative solutions to complex design problems. Something that is at the core of everything we do at BCAE Architects.
Before starting BCAE Architects, Arron has specialised in residential and heritage projects, focusing on project management, design, and construction oversight during his tenure at an award winning Manchester-based architecture practice.
Arron is deeply committed to delivering exceptional customer service, believing that open communication and collaboration with clients and stakeholders are critical to the success of any project. Arron works closely with clients to understand their goals and vision, striving to exceed expectations and deliver outstanding results.

Ben Craven
BSc(Hons). MArch. PGDip. ARB. RIBA.
Ben is a RIBA Chartered Architect and the founding director of BCAE Architects, whose desire is to craft beautiful buildings & spaces that cater to specific needs and push the boundaries of user experience.

Prior to establishing BCAE Architects, he was an integral team member at a North West based practice, where he specialised in high-end bespoke residential properties and sensitive sites (greenbelt, ANOB, conservation areas). His earlier experience included contributing to award-winning studios in Manchester and working on listed buildings, larger-scale developments and masterplans.
In 2022, fueled by a desire to help individuals realise their dream homes, Ben established his own practice, offering a bespoke architectural service. His ultimate objective is to go beyond the conventional, creating architectural solutions that are aesthetically pleasing and tailored to specific needs, challenging and transforming the user experience along the way.
Our aim as your architect is to deliver a bespoke design that is simple, engaging and beautiful - and most of all, one that surpasses your expectations.

Phoebe Powers
BA(Hons)
Phoebe is currently working with us as a part 1 architectural assistant after graduating from Newcastle University in 2022 with a bachelor’s degree in architecture (BA Hons). She has a strong interest in healthcare and dementia design in a residential setting. Phoebe has experience designing buildings for different cultures across the world, after completing a 6-month internship with an architecture practice in China. She also has experience working as a graphic designer in a post-graduate role. She plans to work with us to complete her Part 1 qualification before returning to university to embark on her MA for the next step to becoming a qualified Architect in the future.

Lucy Hobbs
BA(Hons). MArch.
Lucy is a Part 2 Architectural Assistant who graduated from the Manchester School of Architecture with a bachelor’s degree in 2020, and returning to the MSA to complete her Masters degree in 2023, earning a distinction.
She has a passion for architecture which is environmentally sustainable, having undertaken projects throughout university with a strong emphasis on mitigating operational and embodied carbon. She is also interested in strategies which are innovative whilst being sympathetic to local context, and leaving places in a better, more productive ecological state than before.
Lucy is dedicated to utilising a wide range of media to creatively communicate the key ideas of design proposal to both clients and other consulting team members.
