Leyland Lane

Ben Craven Architects were commissioned to explore the potential for developing a Garden Plot in Leyland. The plot had been sold on ‘Homes under the Hammer’, with some very basic outline plans showing that a dwelling could potentially fit on the site, to a local developer.

The site extremely tight and we wanted to produce a design that sensitively responded to the context while also provide a family home. The final design provided generous ground floor accommodation consisting of large open plan room to the rear with direct access on to the garden, a separate lounge and study to the front, the first floor included 3 double bedrooms, and family bathroom, the master bedroom also contained an en-suite.

The dwelling is currently under construction.
